Getting Here

Scilly can be reached from the English mainland by fixed wing aircraft, helicopter or ferry. The Isles of Scilly Travel handles the ferry and the fixed wing aircraft.

All air services fly directly to St Marys airport with dedicated buses dropping of at all locations on St Mary's. The fixed wing aircraft fly from Lands End airport or from Newquay & Exeter.

Penzance Helicopters fly into Tresco & St Mary's. You can visit their website here.

The Scillonian ferry normally departs Penzance Quay at 9.15 am (but please check when you book as times do change subject to tides). It sails directly to St Mary's and takes just over two-and-a-half hours. The journey by sea is often wonderful but a precautionary travel pill may be advisable if the weather is not calm. When arriving on the Scillonian your bags will be delivered right to the door of your accommodation for a nominal fee providing they have been placed in the luggage container as you board the ship and they are labelled with 'Penhallow'.

Holiday Insurance - As you are visiting an off-shore island, we advise you to take out adequate holiday insurance to cover you against any possible cancellation or delay, including unforeseen illness and weather related travel delays.
